At the Hermitage of Monte Barro, in the homonymous Regional Park, stands the eco-hostel that Legambiente manages since 2013. Breathtaking views, history and natural biodiversity await our guests, who will feel at home thanks to a friendly and welcoming reception. For Legambiente the hostel is a way to show that a different approach to economy is really possible.
On the bottom of Lake Como lie hundreds of used and discarded tires. A spectacular action by Legambiente Lecco consists in recovering them, along with other waste of the territory, to create art and design items. The aim is to show how the future is the reuse of materials; we also act concretely to improve the beautiful area we live in.
“Vacanze Natura” (Nature Holidays) are periods of vacation in protected natural environments, with activities organized by Legambiente Lecco to rediscover the meaning and the value of the contact with nature. During these stays, which are structured for children, teens or adults, you can experience firsthand what it means to be in a centre for ecological living.
For anyone who wants to take direct action on environmental problems while having fun taking part in voluntary activities, Legambiente Lecco organizes volunteer camps. The camps are held in reserves and natural parks, and are connected to a international network of associations with people from all over the world. A good way to contribute to the growth of territories, make new friends, learn foreign languages and experience different cultures.
